Calcium and magnesium are therefore useful for <b>health<\/b>. Calcium contributes to bone health, has a beneficial role in hypertension, cardiovascular accidents, colon cancer. Magnesium is involved in the activation of more than 300 enzymatic systems, fights fatigue, diabetes and coronary insufficiency as well as osteoporosis \u2026 Knowing that the average population has an average <strong>calcium deficiency of +\/- 40% (average nutritional needs) and even 70% for magnesium<\/strong>, it therefore seems essential to us to drink mineralized water with a mineral content of <strong>up to 500 mg\/L <\/strong>! * This depends on the mineral content of the water and the age of the people concerned, <i>Source: Study on the absorption of calcium and magnesium in natural mineral waters, Patrice <\/i><i>Fardellone<\/i><i>, CHU Amiens, Universit\u00e9 Picardie Jules-Verne, <\/i><i>2015 ;\u00a0<\/i>\u00ab <i>The mineral elements present in tap water, by participating in the daily mineral supply necessary for the proper functioning of the body, have a definite beneficial role for health. Calcium in water could also play a role in protecting against cardiovascular disease. The role of calcium in fat elimination and blood cholesterol regulation is also recognised <\/i>\u00bb (source Ministry of Health France 2006).<i><\/i><\/li>\n<li>The WHO (World Health Organization) speaks of an \u201c<i>optimum below <strong>1000 mg \/ liter<\/strong><\/i>\u201c.<\/li>\n<li>The Superior Council of Public Hygiene of France fixes in its decrees of 1990 and 1995 relating to the quality of water intended for human consumption the quantity of dry residues, after drying at 180 \u00b0 C, at maximum <b>1,500 mg \/ liter<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>It is also important to have calcium-magnesium (components of limescale) in the water because of the rounder and velvety <b>taste<\/b> of water containing mineral salts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_auto width_full\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_bottom type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container imagesideblock has_text_color\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner us_custom_a4adbbd0\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_a4604efe has_text_color\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h1>Inorganic Minerals<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-image align_center\"><div class=\"w-image-h\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" src=\"https:\/\/biodynamizer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Depositphotos_381837028_XL-600x338.jpg\" class=\"attachment-us_600_400 size-us_600_400\" alt=\"Illustration d\u2019un corps humain bleu montrant le syst\u00e8me digestif en rouge, mettant en \u00e9vidence les organes internes et leur position dans le corps.\" loading=\"lazy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/biodynamizer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Depositphotos_381837028_XL-600x338.jpg 600w, https:\/\/biodynamizer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Depositphotos_381837028_XL-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/biodynamizer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Depositphotos_381837028_XL-1024x576.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_4076faf9 has_text_color\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>Metabolism and bioavailability of minerals in water (tap or bottled)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>inorganic minerals<\/strong> found in water originate from the rocks the water passes over or through during its cycle (riverbeds, percolation through the Earth&#8217;s mineral layers, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>These inorganic minerals make up the &#8220;<strong>dry residues<\/strong>&#8220;\u2014measured in <strong>mg\/L<\/strong>\u2014found in the water (determined after evaporating the water at 180\u00b0C). They consist primarily of <strong>calcium<\/strong> (Ca) and <strong>magnesium<\/strong> (Mg)\u2014the components of <strong>limescale<\/strong> (which forms scale deposits when water is heated)\u2014and, to a lesser extent, <strong>trace elements<\/strong> (copper, iron, zinc, selenium, silicon, fluoride, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>There are two methods for measuring dry residues:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From the <strong>water hardness<\/strong> in French degrees (\u00b0f) and <strong>multiply by 10 mg\/L <\/strong>; this yields the amount of <strong>limescale<\/strong> (calcium carbonate, which forms scale). For example, <strong>36\u00b0f<\/strong> = <strong>360 mg\/L<\/strong> (360 ppm, or parts per million); dividing this figure by <strong>80%<\/strong> gives <strong>450 mg\/L of dry residue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>From <strong>water&#8217;s conductivity<\/strong>, measured in <strong>microsiemens (\u00b5S\/cm)<\/strong>, and apply a standard conversion factor of k = 0.64. For example, 730 \u00b5S\/cm (for 36\u00b0f) \u00d7 0.64 = <strong>467 mg\/L of dry residue<\/strong> (this is what a TDS meter measures).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Inorganic minerals<\/strong> are measured in <strong>mg\/L<\/strong> and should not be confused with <strong>pollutants<\/strong>, which are measured in <strong>\u00b5g\/L<\/strong> (meaning they are 1,000 times lighter and smaller) and are not detected by <strong>TDS<\/strong> (Total Dissolved Solids) meters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The body absorbs these inorganic minerals in their dissolved ionic form<\/strong> (i.e., electrically charged) at a rate of approximately <strong>48%<\/strong>, specifically:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Between 37% and 46% for <strong>Ca<\/strong> (absorption comparable to that of milk)<\/li>\n<li>Between 52% and 59% for <strong>Mg <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This means they are <strong>absorbed by the intestine<\/strong>, cross the intestinal wall, and enter the <strong>bloodstream<\/strong>. Once in the blood, they become available to supply the body&#8217;s cells. The ~48% of absorbed minerals are available to nourish cells and are subsequently metabolized at a rate of ~98%.<\/p>\n<p>This equates to a contribution of approximately <strong>7% of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for Mg and 34% for Ca<\/strong> (depending on age, gender, water intake\u2014assumed to be <strong>1.5 L\/person\/day<\/strong>\u2014and the water&#8217;s mineral content, hypothetically set at <strong>450 mg\/L, being 36\u00b0f hardness<\/strong>)! Consequently, the inorganic minerals present in water are <strong>highly bioavailable to our bodies<\/strong>\u2014much like those found in solid foods\u2014and thus <strong>contribute to our good health!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The inorganic minerals remaining in the intestine (~52%) are eliminated via the stool. Any excess absorbed inorganic minerals that are not metabolized\u2014approximately 1.2% (representing 1% to 4% of the initial 48%)\u2014are filtered by the kidneys and excreted in the urine.<\/strong> Therefore, there is no adverse effect on kidney function in healthy individuals, nor is there any risk of mineral overload. In fact, water rich in Ca and Mg actually has a protective effect against kidney stones!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_small\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_auto width_full\"><div class=\"l-section-overlay\" style=\"background:rgba(172,172,172,0.2)\"><\/div><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_middle type_default reversed stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-6 wpb_column vc_column_container tekstsideblock\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h1><span class=\"TextRun SCXP77484670 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXP77484670 BCX0\" style=\"font-size: 2.5rem; font-weight: 400;\">What is limescale ?<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXP77484670 BCX0\">\u200b<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_f37aca33\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>All mineralized water (including tap water) contains limestone which is transformed under the effect of heat into scale which initially appears in the form of aragonite (softer and more soluble scale) which eventually turns into calcite (hard and compact scale which becomes encrusted and hardens inside sanitary pipes).<\/p>\n<p>This limestone will precipitate around the resistances of the boiler-water heater (which heats the water up to a maximum of 55 \u00b0 C) and will turn into tartar, which will reduce its energy efficiency, but it will, in time, also become embedded to the inside of the sanitary pipes with the risk of clogging them!<\/p>\n<p>In order to avoid these inconveniences, it is therefore necessary to treat this limestone by transforming its mineralogical structure in order to make it more soluble, which prevents it from becoming encrusted. Limestone therefore remains present in the water, but it no longer has any inconveniences.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to its permanent magnets and the magnetic fields generated, the Biodynamizer treats limestone for all tap water with a hardness of up to 40 \u00b0 f (French degree).<\/p>\n<p>Above 40 \u00b0 f of city water hardness (very hard water), we therefore recommend placing an additional limescale treatment device, the <a href=\"https:\/\/biodynamizer.com\/en\/our-solutions\/the-biolimescaler\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Biolimescaler<\/span><\/a> (in addition to the <a href=\"https:\/\/biodynamizer.com\/en\/our-solutions\/the-biodynamizer\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Biodynamizer<\/span><\/a>). It additionally treats limestone by transforming its mineralogical structure as well as the morphology of limestone crystals. In addition, the Biolimescaler helps to eliminate existing encrustations in the pipes.<\/p>\n<p>\u200b<span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">Water hardness scale: Depending on the geological nature of the soil, the\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">physico<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">&#8211;<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">chemical composition of the water will not be the same. Thus, water passing through a\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">limescale soil or chalky soil will provide water with a high limescale content while water\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">passing through rocky or sandy soils will be considered as soft:<\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">from 0 to 5 \u00b0 f: very soft water<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">from 5 to 15 \u00b0 f: soft water<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">from 15 to 25 \u00b0 f: medium hard water<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">from 25 to 40 \u00b0 f: hard water<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">&gt;
